Cleveland HeartLab, Inc. (CHL) is a premier next-generation clinical reference laboratory committed to advancing cardiovascular risk assessment through unique and proprietary diagnostic tests. We focus on novel inflammatory and cardiovascular biomarker technologies that allow for advanced risk assessment.


This role is responsible for day to day management of the field phlebotomy team, implementation of department policies and procedures, and training of field phlebotomists.





  • Monitor day-to-day activities of individual field phlebotomists, give support/help where needed, report to Director of Field & Phlebotomy Services where the team excels and where the team needs assistance.
  • Compile and review team metrics.
  • Develop Departmental Policies and Procedures
  • Provide process and procedure training to field based phlebotomists
  • Onboard/assist with onboarding new phlebotomists
  • Work with individual phlebotomist on development and any discipline





Experience with phlebotomy is prefered but consideration will be given to all candidates with a strong background managing employees with particular emphasis on managing a remote team in a healthcare organization. Additional Qualifications include:

  • Previous experience providing training, coaching, and instruction to others preferred.
  • Demonstrated leadership, and effective interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated effective independent judgment with regards to decision-making.
  • Ability to travel 50%
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Detail oriented.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to communicate independently and verbally with personal effective speaking skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Excellent phone etiquette.
  • Able to establish priorities.
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
